Named after my lovely wife, Rachel’s Rose is made from 100% Pyrenees grapes, 90% Shiraz and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit was hand-picked and the whole bunches gently basket pressed and wild yeast fermented. The resulting wine is pale salmon in colour with aromas of red berries, herbs and spice. The palate has flavours of cranberries, strawberries and a delicate spice and is refreshingly dry with lovely persistence and crisp acidity on the finish. A delicate wine that will suit many food styles.
